Join us on Saturday, April 27th from 9-11 am as we welcome Rabbi Elyse Frishman to lead us in worship and study.  Rabbi Frishman is a leader in revitalizing synagogue life, especially Reform Jewish worship. In 2010, she was recognized as the second most influential American Jew in the Forward’s “Top Fifty Jews” for editing the pioneering Reform prayerbook, Mishkan T’filah.

After 36 years in the congregational rabbinate, Elyse is Rabbi Emerita at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, The Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Elyse’s most recent focus is on social justice; she serves on the Board of the American Jewish World Service, whose mission is to realize human rights and end poverty in the developing world. Her husband is Rabbi Daniel Freelander, President of the World Union for Progressive Judaism. They have three adult children and live in New York.
